Anna turned on the radio and put a cd in the cd player. The music started. It was Britney Spears. She started singing along. Christopher kept looking at her and giggling. "You're so cute." He told her.
Maybe he really did like her. It was hard to tell. We pulled up at the drive thru. "What do you want baby?" He asked her.
"A chocolate milkshake." She said smiling.
"You want some fries to go with that shake?" He asked.
She giggled.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked.
We got our ice cream and pulled away.
"Wow, baby. Is that a mirror in your pocket?" He asked her.
She giggled.
"Cause I can see myself in your pants." He said.
They both laughed.
"Oh god. You sound like Todd." I said.
We all laughed.
"Hey, my lines are awesome. Chris, I could teach you a thing or two." Todd said.
"Oh god! NO!" I shouted, and everyone laughed.
"What?" He asked.
"Mr. My-Hands-Are-Steady-When-It-Counts?" I asked
"Hey, I was talking about Jenga." He said.
"Sure you were." I told him. Christopher drove to the park, and we all got out to finish our icecream and hang out.
We all sat down on the grass. "How has your night been for you two so far?" I asked them.
"Really good." Anna said smiling.
Christopher swiftly ducked down and took a sip of Anna's milkshake. She laughed, "Hey!" She said. She nudged him with her shoulder and he laughed.
"You two are cute." I said.
"We know." Christopher said.
We all laughed.
"So, did you two. . . you know. . ." Christopher asked.
"No." I said.
Todd laughed.
"Oh, so you two are not dating?" Anna asked.
"No." I said, "I actually just got out of a relationship."
"With her teacher." Christopher said laughing.
"Chris!" I shouted.
"Your teacher? Wow, that's hot." Anna said.
"Oh. Sorry. Not suppose to bring that up." Christopher said.
"Did you sleep with him?" Anna asked.
I nodded.
"An older guy, hu? That actually sounds really cool." Anna said smiling. "And hey, you only live once. Why not experience all that you can?"
I smiled. "Never thought about it that way." I said.
She giggled.
"Was it weird?" Christopher asked.
"No." I said.
"What is going on with us? We are actually having a serious deep conversation." Christopher said.
I laughed, "Yeah, we are. Deep for us anyway."
"Oh, I'm not spending the night tonight. We figured it wouldn't be a good idea. Who knows what time your parents will get home." Anna said.
I looked at Todd. "If he's not breaking the rule, I'm sure not." I said laughing.
Todd smiled, "That's fine."
Anna stood up. "I'm done with it." She said. "I'm going to go throw it away."
She started walking towards the trash can. Christopher set down his ice cream and went running after her. He picked her up and they fell into the sand. They were both laughing really hard and hitting eachother playfully. I laughed. "I want that. That's what I want right now." I said pointing at them.
"You will." Todd said.
I looked at him and smiled. "Maybe he really does care about her." I said.
"I'm sure he cares about her. I never doubted that." He said.
"I did. I guess I'm a bad big sister." I said.
"Nah. You were just looking out for both of them." He said. We had already finished our ice cream, so I snuck a bite of Christophers.
"Now, THAT makes you a bad big sister." Todd said.
"It does not!" I shouted.
"Does too!" He yelled. He tried to tickle me, but I jumped up and started running.
